ABOUT Phoenix Allergy Drops
WHY Allergy Drops?
Allergy drops are a natural mixture of allergens (dust mites, pollens from grasses, trees, and weeds, pet dander, etc) that we all breath or come in contact with every day mixed with a simple glycerin saline solution and then placed, a few drops at a time under your tongue which are commonly referred to as allergy drops. This process, known as Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT) has been approved by the World Health Organization and has been in use in Europe (where 50% of the patients on immunotherapy are prescribed SLIT) for over 60 years.
In numerous studies SLIT, or allergy drops has been demonstrated to be just as effective as SCIT (shots). It is estimated that over 2 Billion SLIT dosages have been given but, unlike shots, there have been no seriously adverse side effects.
Your doctor can now give you a 15 minute (no needles) allergy scratch test to determine if allergies are causing your symptoms. These tests are covered by most insurance plans.
He or she can then offer you a no shots (allergy drops) treatment program. Unlike pills, nasal sprays, or inhalers allergy drops can provide you with lifelong relief.
